My brother recently uploaded his short stop-motion film, Mighty Hammer of God Prelude, to the YouTube network of video sharing.

Be sure to view it if you have not already. Rating and commenting always are kind, too.

One of Minnesota’s oldest indoor malls was treated to the impressive grand opening of their latest vacancy-filler, the Apple Store. Though the vacancy rate is increasing in malls throughout Minnesota (especially Southdale), the popularity of the Apple Store (there was a massive line my brother and I had the pleasure of standing in) will doubtlessly attract fans and new consumers to the brand.

Pictured is the shirt given out to the first 1000 in line. The fancy packaging (white and platinum cardboard sides with that Apple “sheen”) opens a[n unfortunately large XL] black Apple Ridgedale teeshirt.

UPDATE: This guy was able to snag quite a few photos of the event.

The obviousness of that statement is only preceded by the suggestion that the reader has no knowledge of the Internet as a medium to communicate. My homepage for Safari is Google News and on the top right hand of the page, I have customized Technology news to appear in nine instances of “major” news. Most of the time I chuckle at what Google filters to me (Beer Less Popular than iPod?), but it surprises me that these news items appear atop so many different sources within the amount of times during a day I click on my homepage. News travels fast.

Another related item comes in the form of a rather interesting vengence story that, while not written well, is bemusing in its own right. It demonstrates the power of online communications and the evil of MySpace (only when abused by idiots, though).

This summer I plan on upgrading my iLife ‘05 to ‘06 and working with the webpage application iWeb. I am not sure if this works flawlessly with Blogger, but a little help from Transmit or whatnot and I should be able to alter the aesthetic of my blog considerably. And offer some much-needed features. Anyone who has had any experience with the application: I would appreciate your advice.

Civil Rights

June 6, 2006

Freedom Folks serve their audience well with their commentary. Their recent post on civil rights is particularly enlightening, given that they are demonstrating their knowledge of simple terminology in light of politicians and online organizations that somehow seem to invent their own definitions.

Thanks again for pointing out what should have been common sense to any citizen.

For Macs…

Panic makes great little applications for the Macintosh, and Stattoo is no different. If dashboard is too much trouble, this app is perfect, subtle, and accessible.

And their Transmit application arguably yields the best FTP experience on the Mac.

Wii Hype Builds

June 4, 2006

The Nintendo Wii, set for launch in the autumn quarter of this year, is positively building its anticipation and respect through all the right media outlets. And according to E3 results, it genuinely won the hardcore crowd. The New York Times posts a basic but pro-Nintendo article.
